Ten days ago I had a conversation with Dr. Mark Hay from Georgia Tech where he was at the Aquarius ReefBase habitat on the bottom of the Florida Keys and I was at the ice breaker for the annual Association of Zoos and Aquariums meeting hosted at Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta. We were talking about life on the only undersea lab in the world, and about Mark’s research on the role of herbivore diversity in maintaining reef integrity and resilience. The event was live streamed on ReefBase’s UStream channel and now a recorded version of the conversation is on YouTube. Big thanks to Dominic Landucci for managing the technology side of this challenging chat, and for editing the video to remove the 5 second delay between every question and answer.
