In the how to achieve conservation goals and police international waters within the bounds of international law and without harming the life of a ship’s crew or damage to privately owned property (and thus causing even more pollution and debris in the ocean) corner we have Greenpeace.

I am merely pointing out a successful, law-abiding intervention by a conservation organization that resulted in a fishing vessel voluntarily (well, to get their lines back!) stopping an illegal fishing activity and resume its activities in legal waters. That is all.
