Does my heart long for Southern California? Everytime a new movie comes out worth the $15 ticket. So, not that often, but fairly regular. Who am I kidding? I live in Texas now, and haven’t seen a rolling hill since I drove into the state two years ago. Somebody get me to Santa Barbara quick for the 2008 Santa Barbara Ocean Film Festival. Its sponsored this year by The Ocean Channel. They host these films and more online.
The film festival doors open Wednesday, Oct 22 at Marjorie Luke Theater, and move to the Maritime Museum on Friday. Tickets are only $10, and all three featured film finalists look incredible- Girls of Summer, White Sharks of South Africa, and Giant Mantas of San Benedicto. The last one looks sweet. Bring a date and spend the day touring wine country. Better yet, make a weekend out of it. – PJE
