To me Kevin Zelnio is larger than life. This is probably due to the fact that we have never met in person. But I have met him many times online. Via this blog, via twitter, via his amazing writing, via the lore of the Zelnio persona at science online. Kevin’s writing is an open and honest window into his world and the things he cares about. His last post here at DSN really touched a nerve with me. I wish I could say his experience as a struggling scientist and communicator was unique, but I know it isn’t. While I am sad that he will be departing DSN, I wish him the best at this latest reboot. Kevin, hopefully I will one day get to Sweden and try one of your delicious beers. Skål.
