Today’s been a day of pretty bad news in the Gulf. If you need a little cheering up, please enjoy these baby sloths. (What, they’re terrestrial? SHHHHH I won’t tell if you won’t.)

DUDE! Did you see about the sloths in the latrines? http://scienceblogs.com/tetrapodzoology/2010/04/two-toed_toilet_sloths.php
They’re still really cute though.
Thanks for the pick-me-up Miriam!! It’s nice to have a reminder (terrestrial or not) of why to keep chugging given the depressing state of environmental affairs!!
I really needed that. Especially the Lady & the Tramp bean eating. Thanks!
Sci – Sure, but I’m not judgmental! Some of my favorite critters poop on their OWN heads.
Yay yay yay!
Hi! Beautiful Kasey. Good to hear fr/ Aunties Gal. Oh! honey, you made my day end so perfect w/ the sloths video. I had Cody (my dog) watch it on the screen w/ me.
They are sooo very cute. I love ya. Have a nice Day, I think of you always.
Auntie, Gj
I also had a little bit of trouble reconciling the mind-melting cuteness of these sloths with Tet Zoo’s revelation of the excrement munching toilet sloth. But I’m happy to say that cuteness won the day, and sloths remain one of my favorite non-cephalopod creatures of all time!
