In fact, orcas are being heard right now on the Lime Kiln hydrophone. (http://orcasound.net/) Very faint, but they’re there!

Beautiful place! Definitely take a small boat trip if you can. The smaller the better. Orcas leaping everywhere.

Friday Harbor! Hope you have a great time in my hometown and, if you have time, check out Lime Kiln State Park on the west side of the island. The Southern Resident orcas, especially J Pod, have been hanging around between the west and south sides lately.
